Welcome to the RRHEA Privacy Policy. At RRHEA, we believe every connection should start with respect and honesty — especially when it comes to your personal information. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the RRHEA mobile application ("App") and our website at rrhea-app.com ("Site").
When we say "RRHEA," "we," "us," or "our," we mean RRHEA App LLC, the company that operates the RRHEA dating app. By using our App or Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Have questions about this Policy? Contact us at support@rrhea-app.com.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available at rrhea-app.com/privacy-policy. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the App.
We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the App.
When you create a RRHEA account, we collect:
Information you choose to add to your profile, including:
If you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, we receive limited information from these providers:
We use this information only to create and authenticate your RRHEA account.
If you purchase Premium, Profile Boosts, Super Likes, or merchandise, we record:
All payments are processed through PayPal. RRHEA never sees, collects, or stores your payment card details, bank account information, or PayPal password. Merchandise purchases are processed through Shopify. See Section 7 for details on third-party services.
When you chat with matches, your messages are stored securely in our database to enable real-time messaging and message history across devices.
If you grant RRHEA location permission on your device, we collect your GPS coordinates to:
If you prefer not to share GPS, you can manually enter a city or zip code instead.
You can turn off location access at any time: iPhone — Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > RRHEA
We collect basic device information to ensure the App functions properly, including your device model and operating system version.
Photos you upload are screened on your device using Apple's Vision framework for prohibited content before being accepted. This check happens entirely on your iPhone — no photos are sent to external servers for moderation. Accepted photos are stored in your profile and synced to the cloud.
When you visit our website at rrhea-app.com, we do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. Any cookies we use are strictly necessary for the website to function. As with most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard server logs — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request — for security and reliability. These logs are retained only for a limited period. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
We use your information to:
RRHEA uses your profile information to show you compatible profiles. Factors include:
We use on-device photo screening to prevent prohibited content from being uploaded. We also review reports submitted by members and may suspend or ban accounts that violate our Community Guidelines.
With your permission, we may send push notifications to your device — for example, to alert you about new matches, messages, or account activity. Delivering them may involve a device push token used only to send you these notifications. You can turn push notifications on or off at any time through your device settings or the App's notification settings.
When you use RRHEA, other members can see the information you put on your profile, including:
We encourage you to think carefully about what you share. Do not put sensitive information on your profile such as your full address, phone number, email address, financial details, or government ID numbers.
Messages are only visible to you and the person you are chatting with.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information. Your data is stored with Supabase, an established backend platform, using measures that include:
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, so while we work to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your severity level and Gut Tags are considered sensitive health data. Providing them is entirely optional and voluntary — you can create a profile and use RRHEA without them. We use this information only to match you with compatible profiles and to power your discovery filters; we do not use it for any other purpose.
You can edit or remove your severity level and Gut Tags at any time from your profile (Edit Profile), and removing them stops their use for matching going forward. Where applicable law requires it, we process this sensitive data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide by choosing to add it and which you can withdraw at any time by removing it.
We treat this information with great care. It will never be sold, shared with advertisers, or disclosed to health insurers or any other third party.
Account authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, which supports industry-standard security practices including secure token management and OAuth 2.0 for social logins.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services.
When you deactivate your account, your profile, matches, and messages are permanently deleted. Purchase records are retained only as required for legal and financial obligations.
Account deletion may take a reasonable period of time to complete across our active systems and routine backups. We may retain certain information after deletion where necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain records relating to fraud, safety, and security. Any such retained data is kept only for as long as legally necessary and is then deleted.
If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR to process your personal data:
You have the right to:
For users in the European Union and United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
